OBJECTIVES

To assist the orphans and disadvantaged children get education through paying their school fees, providing uniforms and scholastic materials.

Soliciting or setting up avenues for getting school requirements and clothing for the target groups.

Promoting and supporting health and hygiene of children, women, elderly and their immediate environment.

Creating awareness to the community the prevalent diseases and how to prevent them.

Assist the community to be custodians of their health

Promoting Christian values through holistic approach to the children and their guardians.

Setting up income generating projects e.g weaving, knitting, hand crafts, tailoring baking and hair dressing.

To set up a revolving fund to enable the community members after training to start small scale businesses

To encourage the women to learn and participate in some of the Ministry’s organizations income generating projects.

Co-operating with other people or organizations whose aims and objectives are similar.

Establish a counseling centre for people.

Sensitize the community on how to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS

To advocate for people living with HIV/AIDS and pay them visits in their homes.

To liaise with other organizations in the field of HIV and Child care within and outside the country.

Empower the widows and single parents who are HIV / AIDS positive to provide and sustain the children

To create awareness among the youth on the dangers of drug abuse through counseling

To set up water and sanitation programmes.

PROPOSED INCOME GENERATING ACTIVITIES

SECRETERIAL BUREAU

A computer centre for business printing, photocopying, sale of stationary. The requirements to start the secretarial bureau include: 2 computers, 1 photo copying machine, 3 printers (1 laser jet, 2 ink jets), assorted stationary, binding machine, laminating machine, fridge.

Money earned from this project goes to the account of the kids (orphans, vulnerable children and street kids), widows, elderly, hospital and prison ministry plus feeding.

PIGGERY

This project involves the rearing of piglets. The animals can be sold when they have matured to the pork dealers. Where a kilogramme of pork cost almost $2 and one grown animal can measure up to 50kilogrammes. 

The requirements for this project are: to start with 10 piglets, the site, etc. The funds realized can be used to sustain the organization.

POULTRY

This project’s target is 100 birds. Local breeds of chicken to be reared because they are resistant to diseases. Both Layers and broilers are important as they can bring income to run the activities of the organization.

FARMING

This project involves the growing of crops like spinach, tomatoes maize, sweet potatoes, bananas, passion fruits etc. Part of the crop is to be used for food for the organization and the surplus to be sold to sustain the rest of the activities of the project.

ART AND CRAFTS

This involves the making of beads, hats, mats, hand bags etc. This is to provide employment for the community and the single mothers. Funds to be used in the ministry

DAY CARE CENTRE

A care centre for infants, many working parents have no time for their little ones leaving them in the care of house girls, some of whom burn the children and others sell them to witch doctors for rituals. A day care centre helps to hold the child until the parent is able to come for the child.

There is need for such a project here as there is big demand. The funds to be directed to the account of the organization to assist the beneficiaries.
